Jesse West


Born January of 1982 in Satanta, KS, Jesse West is a native to Kansas and more specifically Southwest Kansas. As a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a B.S. in Business Education and a M.S. in Education with an emphasis in ESOL he has taught a wide array of technology courses at Dodge City Middle School. He is highly qualified in Computer Education 7-12, Business Education 6-12, and Technology Education 7-12. Currently teaching his sixth year, Jesse has taught Video Productions, Internet Communications, and seventh/eighth grade Computer Education. During this time, he has been proactive in expanding instructional technology in his building, district, and state of Kansas classrooms.

 

Jesse has been a presenter at district, regional, and state in-services/conferences. He has co-presented at the Kansas Gifted and Talented District 5 conference and the Kansas Gifted and Talented State conference the last two years with Michael King. During the summer of 2009, he co-designed and presented at the Summer Institute of Technology at Dodge City Middle School. These three day workshops provided teachers with skills in digital storytelling, social networking, and online collaboration. Though early in his career as an educator, he seeks to bring change and innovation to the modern classrooms with 21st Century technology skills.
